Determine your budget

1. Before you start looking for  a new flat it is important to know how much you afford to spend on EMI and how much money you
     have in saving.
2. If your staying in rent apartment also check on your rent ( If you want to book under construction Project).
3. check on you home loan how much loan you can get normally bank will give 80 to 90% loan on your agreement value not on full value of flat ( eg cost of you flat is 1 cr + stampduty + reg + G.S.T + development charges + maintenance for 2 years etc is full value as per builder). so loan value will be 1 cr.
4. Your Home Loan  Eligibility Can Be 2 cr But Bank Will Consider Your Flat Value And Then Give 80 to 90 % Loan On Flat Value.
5. Now calculate how much money you should have in hand to buy flat after getting 90% loan
eg. Flat value – 1 cr ( 10% of agreement value + Stampduty + Reg+ G.s.t + development charges + maintenance for 2 years etc) 
so now your ready to check on your dream home 
This will help narrow down your search and ensure you don’t waste time looking at properties that are out of your price range and waste your time.

Decide on your location

Think about what location is most convenient for you. Do you need to be close to work or school? Do you want to be near public transportation or amenities like shopping and dining? Consider these factors when deciding where to search for your new flat.
